1 in 2 gays or lesbians faced a certain form of harassment with 91% of cases not reported, shows ombudsman's study. Victims feel that reporting wouldn't change anything as they have little or no trust in the police. The webinar will focus on how to change that. Experts from the EU and the UK will share their best practices in a panel discussion. You can join us too!

A record number of festival venues, more than one hundred Pride events in Prague and the regions, five hours of online broadcasts daily, rainbow-lit buildings throughout the Czech Republic. The jubilee tenth edition of the Prague Pride festival will take place from 3 to 9 August and, for the first time in its history, will bring together LGBT+ people and others through the interactive online Pride Stream.

Are you also looking forward to the Pride week? Prague Pride prepared over a hundred events that will také place between the 3rd and 9th of August! Here are 10 outdoor events that you should definitely check out:

This year, Saturday will once again be the pinnacle of the whole festival! Although it will a little bit different from what we are used to during Prague Pride. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the Rainbow march. We‘re truly sorry about this, it was supposed to be the tenth one, maybe the biggest one yet! Coronavirus made things rather complicated, as we wouldn‘t have any possibility to control the maximum amount of participants and the spacing between them. And a Pride march without the hugs and kisses just wouldn‘t cut it anyway.

We watched the situation around Covid-19 closely throughout the spring, and with each deterioration, our anxiety grew. The question of what will happen to Prague Pride, celebrating its tenth birthday this year, was actual week after week. Like the organizers of festivals and other events, we did not know the answer to it. But we were clear about one thing - we want to organize Prague Pride this year so that all participants can enjoy it just like in previous years. We will not postpone Prague Pride to the next year, as many foreign countries have done, because we believe in a certain irreplaceability of this event in the Czech and Central European society.

According to experts, if you are not in a certain age group (around 70 years of age) nor have ongoing health problems, you are not in danger in case of contracting COVID-19. How about HIV+ people? There are various messages roaming the internet, as there always are, not all true. That’s why we have decided to do our own research from reliable sources and to answer some basic questions concerning HIV+ people in the current situation.

Prague Pride association has been strongly affected by the coronavirus situation, same as other organizations. After gathering and movement of people had been restricted, we have cancelled some small events and decided to postpone the bigger ones. We have been also thinking about new formats for events held in the times of pandemics. Well-being of the public and our own team is a priority for us. Yet we keep working.
